ther should be a place to click to alow it. or you can lower your securety settings long enough to update.
That depends on what site you are visiting. If you are ABSOLUTELY sure that the site is trustworthy, go ahead and allow the controls.

Otherwise, you are inviting malware.

Better yes, just quit using that security hazard and switch to Firefox.

Can a router control the speed of my Internet?

Okay, let me preface this question by saying that I really do not have a lot of knowledge of computers or the internet, so please make your answer as english as you can. I live in a house with 4 computers and 1 internet connection with all 4 computers hooked up to the same router. Up until now my internet speed has been fine, no complaints. However, as of late my internet connection has been going painfully slow, and I'm starting to think it has something to do with the router. The router is in my brother's room, and he is a super World of Warcraft junkie, he dropped out of school, plays it all the time, etc. Now, I have noticed on several occasions he has unplugged me from the router to make his own internet run faster. Now that my internet has suddenly began to run painfully slow, my first instinct is that he has done something else in order to prove his own internet speed. So my question is, would it be possible for him to do something like that? Slow my internet down to improve the speed of his own? Sorry about the longness of this question, but I really am sick of him being selfish and doing his best to hog the internet. Thanks guys. Can a router control the speed of my Internet?
Yes. He can control your bandwidth thru the router and give himself more and priority.

How can I control a motor via the internet?

For a project I am working on, I would like to be able to control a simple DC motor over the internet. I don't need to do much, just turn on and off a few of these; variable control would also be nice. Is there a program or chip that, through a common USB port or something, could let me do that?

Thanks! How can I control a motor via the internet?
If you have a computer at the other end to receive the internet then it's a bit easier, you can pick up microcontrollers which can interface with the serial connection on the computer really easily (large percentage have serial comms peripherals or you could just bit-bang a virtual serial port on the MCU) and then you could simply send the appropriate control data down the serial connection from pc to mcu and then send the appropriate motor control signals from the mcu to motor.

You could get usb compatible mcu's and the likes, but they are often sold as surface mount devices and thus rather more difficult to attach to boards with their annoyingly small pin-pitch and they are more expensive than a serial-enabled mcu and probably a good bit harder to program for as you need to waffle about with the usb HID spec, which I can't say I know much about so maybe you won't have that hurdle.

I'd recommend you stick with a serial port connection, it's simpler and if it's just a hobby/school project, it should be absolutely fine to use that.

Any software for controlling bandwidth usage for all users using a router to share the internet connection?

I am using a DST 604 T D-link router and many people are using, sharing the internet connection. However it is difficult to monitor the bandwidth or usage of each user. If 1 uses peer to peer download programs, all users experiences lagging in connection. Is there a software to monitor the bandwidth usage for each user so that I can find out who is the BAD APPLE ? ThanksAny software for controlling bandwidth usage for all users using a router to share the internet connection?
Traffic Shaper XP

if you just want to find out who is using your bandwidth you can look at log file whos up address comes up more offen. And you can restrict access for this ip or mac address.Any software for controlling bandwidth usage for all users using a router to share the internet connection?
What you're looking for is called QoS, or Quality of Service, and your router does not have it. Unfortunately, there's no way to put it on that router. You could make users limit their speeds in their file sharing program, that would alleviate your problem. Make sure you limit both download AND upload speeds so that they ALL add up to no more than 80% of your advertised speed.

If the internet is the infant stage of the supreme being, and it will eventually control all reality...?

...does that explain why the Bible is full of weird kinky porn, immorality, and violence? When will the Internet (PBUH) start to require a tithe? If the internet is the infant stage of the supreme being, and it will eventually control all reality...?
What the heck are you talking about? If the internet is the infant stage of the supreme being, and it will eventually control all reality...?
Hopefully it will be a UNIX or Mac-based reality. Yes, the porn is much more interesting - and immediate and all-pervasive - in this cyber world reality.
The internet already requires tithing. I pay 30 bucks a month for my internet. If I don't they shut it off lol.
The problem with your question is that it assumes that there is a reality to begin with.

But surely the Supreme Bean works in mysterious ways. As you should well know.
You mean the internet doesn't already control all reality?
