Help.. I cant control myself on the internet from wasting time?

my important exam is coming close... around two and half months from now.. and i am wasting too much time on the internet... my studymaterial is online.. .. and there is no way i can access to it without net...( cant do in cybercafe or anywhere else so pls dont suggest that)..





i usually logon thinking that.. ill just to this or that and then turn off.. but...i keep browsing.. and keep on browsing... and eventually waste lot of precious time...





also on messenger in chat rooms .. with new people to chat...





.. but also i need messengr to chat with my seniors for studies .. i cant be in touch with them any other way..





im 25.. grown up... i am not able to control it.. no matter how much i try.. please help... whatever suggestions would do... i have got lot of stuff left to study......Help.. I cant control myself on the internet from wasting time?
okay get this straight stop being a child and regonize what you have to do ...you have two choices get distracted and end up regretting it or TAKE THE TIME TO STUDY AND GET UR *** OF THE GAMES and do all that other stuff later.Help.. I cant control myself on the internet from wasting time?
Well your 25 then you should develop self control by now. Consult your seniors rather than talking to unknown people for useless cause.


Set your messenger to appear invisible to these unknown people and only online to your senoirs.





Please try doing some meditation like yoga it will help you to learn how to focus your mind.





Put a wallpaper on your desktop with a message ';Exams are Near'; or ';I turn on computer to study';





Make a routine I know its difficult to stop it all of a sudden hence keep some time for it rest of the time focus on studies.
This is your life and your future. Unless you want to have waste more time and money retaking the course. Set up a system of rewards and balances. Such as study for 15 minutes...If you can't print the material make index cards in your own handwriting. Set a timer to go off every 15 to 20 minutes and get a partner to study with you or hold you accountable.
You have to find focus. Not sure how but let me know if you figure it out.

punish yourself for at leasta week


and when u get it back dont overuse it
Put a timer on it so it shuts off at a certain time which will remind you of why its shutting down and print some of the material of the internet that way ur not on it so much!

When you have a bad habit or something, a good way to stop, is to buy a rubber band like an Armstrong band or something and every time you find yourself doing what ever it is pull it as high off your arm you can and let it snap back... it works.


But yeah dude your freaking 25 grow up and say no.
I do it it sometimes!!!!





You may have to go and leave your home and find a place to study where there is no wifi..








I had to do that when I wrote my disertation.....
