Paedophiles using the internet to abuse kids? STRICTER CONTROL REQUIRED ?

Is anybody else worried about the number of young kids posting questions on Yahoo Answers ( ie 12 and younger)..





it bothers me for two reasons.. ONE these kids often give their ages and locations .. and I am afraid that predators will use the information the kids supply to pretend that they are kids ...


and TWO ... I wonder how many of these so called KIDS aren't actually kids but the predators themselves





should Yahoo Answer's moderating staff be more mindful of such questions being posted...?Paedophiles using the internet to abuse kids? STRICTER CONTROL REQUIRED ?
The biggest problem with this is the anonymity of the people that use the internet due to the fact that the only communication source is what you see in a text format on a computer screen. Many children don't seem to realize the potential for their information from their questions to be used to track them down and freely give the info cause they seem to believe in their ignorance that no-one will hurt them.





Additionally the regulation of the users is near impossible due to internet cafes and shared computers which make it highly improbable that there will be particular age groups on the system.





The last thought i have is how many of these 'kids' could be bait for the predators i.e adults pretending that they are kids to try catch the predators in the act of trying to harm children or protectors who do track down the children to give a warning to their parents.Paedophiles using the internet to abuse kids? If they play in a grownup area, suffer a grownup pain.
i don't know,. is it any different than letting your child walk alone?
I think it is the responsibility of the parents to keep a check on their children. The government already has it's hands in too many private issues..but if you ask me about pedophiles, I would say that I wish the death penalty was available for them!
I find this question an interesting one. It is good to be aware that predators are around however statistically speaking the most dangerous place for a child to be is the family home. This is because the human heart is so dark and deceptive.
It's easier for one or two parents to monitor their own child's behavior than it is for the Yahoo staff to monitor everyone's children for them.
Yeah I know what you mean. Like with myspace, and facebook. I feel if the parents are comfortable with their kids getting on these things. Then DON'T LET THEM. If you have common sense you wont give information about yourself.

but their parents should control them in first place


yahoo wrote the regulations because of their lawyers 'pressure
I think the parents should be watching their kids more closely.
Education.
So many kids lie about their age just to post things on the internet. Parents should be watching their kids!!!!!
