I have removed Aol completely and reinstalled it. I have run norton system works 2008 premier edition and cleaned the pc as much as possible. I still end up with 7 registry errors all related to ActiveX. The other issue is My modem is reading as a ';wide area network'; connection instead of what it should be a 96kbps modem on com3. Any Advice?Aol parental controls are locking up my internet but I'm the parent can anyone help?
Your subject/title has nothing to do with the actual post. Good job. If it's the parental controls.. uhm.. you went through all of that, and never thought to simply make a new AOL account?Aol parental controls are locking up my internet but I'm the parent can anyone help?
The problem is that you are using AOL, you moron.
Uninstall AOL. Trust me, it is full of corporate spyware, it bogs down your system, and just as you've experienced, it is NOT user-friendly whatsoever.
If you're using AOL for your internet service provider, I would seriously advise that you switch to another provider as soon as possible, because AOL is pretty well-known for selling their customer's information to third-party advertisers, as well as providing horrible customer support. Needless to say, they're not the kind of company who's software you should have on your computer under any circusmtances.
