Does anyone know of any FREE and simple way to disable internet access for another computer on a LAN network, both computers running XP Home. I need a remote control on one computer and the other computer to be controlled by it.
Please don't lecture me about how if I knew my kids better I wouldn't need to follow up, etc. This isn't for me or my family.Control Child's Internet Access from a Remote Computer?
If the person is using a router, you should be able to determine the IP address of the computer that you want disabled and then use the router's blocking settings to block that particular IP address from accessing the internet.
The person doing the blocking should be able to connect to their router via its web interface.
